Looking for volunteering opportunities near you? Join the incredible group who donate their time, skills and passion to help change homeless young people’s lives.
Last year, our volunteers gave more than 11,000 hours of their time to Centrepoint Without our volunteers, we couldn’t have such a positive impact on homeless young people’s lives.
Our volunteers support young people’s career ambitions, engage them with our services and programmes, help them into accommodation or just give them that little extra nudge to trying something new.
You can also support a young person towards a specific goal or ambition.
Our one-to-one volunteering and coaching include helping young people better manage their finances, study towards a qualification or helping us to build their emotional resilience or support them into independence.
Meet some of the amazing people who donate their time to support homeless young people. The Centrepoint Helpline is a new national service which provides information and advice to under 25s who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
I’m currently studying towards a teaching qualification at the University of Sunderland, so volunteering at Centrepoint has been extremely useful in helping me on the path to become a teacher.
I’ve been supporting young people by teaching Functional Skills English. While at Centrepoint, I’ve become aware of the difficulties learners are facing – both in their own lives and in education. By tackling these issues head on, it’s definitely helped prepare me for the classroom – so there have been lots of benefits of volunteering.
There are so many volunteer roles at Centrepoint that help strengthen all parts of the organisation.
If you can't offer your time, maybe you can sponsor a room at Centrepoint for just 40p a day or take part in a fundraising or challenge event.
